This is not going to be an update about my family so if you do not want to hear what I think people should be aware of please come back next week to see Elizabeth's 3D photos that we will be getting tomorrow. This will be a short post of something sad and scary that I think we should all take into consideration.

I am watching CNN like I do everyday and they just reported on a story that I had to look up immediately. In 2008 a young 21 year old mother of two was home with her children like she was everyday since her husband worked three jobs so she could be a stay at home mom. A man came in her home took control of her and took her from her home and two very young children (1 and 2) what happened next is what I find so disturbing. The woman, fighting for her life, got her abductors cell phone and dialed 9-1-1 and for six minutes let them hear her begging for him to let her go. An eye witness was on the phone with 9-1-1 stating that she was following the car because she saw a woman banging on the window crying for help. This eye witness told 9-1-1 the cross streets they were passing and what was happening for nine minutes. Patrol cars were less than a mile away and because of poor training or just no common sense these patrol cars were never dispatched. The young 21 year old mother was found buried in a shallow grave two days later.

This is a sad eye opener of how put on the back burner an organization has been that is supposed to help us in times of need. It is sad to hear reports of people that are in need call 9-1-1 only to get a hold message or even get hung up on. This is something that should not be taken lightly because this is something that is put in place to save lives and if executed correctly this young mother would still be here to watch her children grow.

Also you can hear the careless operator only repeating "Hello?"

This is a sad story but I think it is more sad that things like this have to happen to get something done to fix overlooked problems in organizations.

Again this was just something I think people should be aware of because this is the kind of thing that can happen anywhere. We will be getting our 3D/4D sonogram done tomorrow and I will post pictures of her beautiful face as soon as possible. Thanks to all of you though that read this.
